Wanting a Perfect Little Wedding? Trying to avoid spending thousands of dollars on a big Wedding and Reception?  Here are some ideas for what could be the Perfect Little Wedding for you!  Sort of like Eloping in Seattle!

Here’s what we offer!

  • A lovely, meaningful, poignant wedding ceremony performed by a non-denominational minister with 30 years experience.

Or Fabulous Photography by one of Seattle’s Most Respected Professional Photographer Couples

  • We are Curtis and Vickie Rhodes who have owned and successfully operated Curtis Rhodes Photography since 1992

Or a perfect package which includes…

  • Your beautiful ceremony.
  • A lovely hand tied bouquet of fresh flowers for the Bride and boutonnière for the Groom.
  • Photographs taken by two of Seattle’s most respected photographers
  • Assistance in finding a location and permits if necessary.

Sand and Feet

A Few Scenarios…

  • The two of you, at a restaurant or maybe your favorite spot on Lake Union, or how about on the Fremont Bridge, just wanting to “Make it Legal”
  • You two with your two best friends, on the Ferry to Bainbridge. Seattle’s fabulous skyline is the backdrop as you say, “I Do.”
  • Your families and you two, a picnic ready at a table on Shilshole. We wander down by the water. You dig your toes in the warm sand, look in each other’s eyes as you slip rings on each other’s fingers
  • The two of you with your families and very closest friends gathered around you at Parson’s Garden.  Rose petals are scattered on the grass as everyone gathers around you offering their best wishes to you both.
  • Or perhaps it’s your anniversary and you and your children celebrate by expressing how much you all love each other in a most special Vow Renewal Ceremony in your own back yard.

Seattle offers so many locations … so many ideas for the Perfect Little Wedding. We offer the ideal services to make your day as affordable yet memorable as can be!

Beautiful Meaningful Ceremonies. As a published writer and Ordained Minister of the Universal Life Church since 1969, I offer beautifully written non-denominational wedding ceremonies. I have a very natural, easy, yet sincere way, often with a soft sense of play that adds a personal depth to your wedding or vow renewal ceremony. I always have people, especially parents, come up to me after the ceremony and sincerely thank me for offering a most wonderful ceremony.

Performing Ceremonies was very enjoyable, and I performed many over the years. Our real connection to the Wedding Industry, however, and our success was based on our photography.

An artistic eye and an intimate understanding of your camera equipment make for a good wedding photographer. A personality that elicits natural expressions and relaxed, friendly spontaneous pictures make for a great wedding photographer. Both Vickie and I have these talents.

From early on I was thought of as "the artist" of the family. Following my talent, I enrolled at Southampton College in New York majoring in painting. Two years later I changed both schools and major to Photography at the San Francisco Art Institute where I studied under some of the great photographers of the twentieth century.

Vickie came by her skills through working alongside me as my assistant. After critiquing my work too many times I told her that if she thought she could do better, go ahead... and she did!

For many years we remained one of the top wedding photography teams in Seattle, named Best Wedding Photographer of the year by Seattle Bride Magazine for two years in a row. Five years ago we moved to Vermont where we scaled down our business and enjoyed our family.  We missed Seattle, however, and the wedding industry we were such a big part of and so have “reinvented ourselves” and returned.

Now, rather than having Photography as our main focus and Officiating secondary, we have blended our talents and are offering fabulous Mini Wedding Packages that sometimes combine a Beautiful Ceremony, Wonderful small Photo packages, even a Bouquet for the Bride and Boutonnière for the Groom.  A perfect scenario for a couple who just wants to “Elope,” even if they’ve lived in Seattle all their lives!
